questions and answers are provided to help visitors and residents
understand how to use the new automated Hammonds Plains Classifieds
Pages and help make the system fun and easy to use.
Who
can view the items for sale?
Every visitor
from around the world is able to view the current items for sale.
Who
can add items for sale?
Only residents
of the Hammonds Plains sub-divistion and residents of Halifax County
have access to add items for sale.
I'm
a resident, How do set up my FREE personal username and password?
To receive
your free personal account username and password. Please complete the "Request
an Account" form and we will set up your
account and send your password by e-mail.
Are
there any hiden costs for residents?
No, as a
resident, the classifieds pages are a 100% free service. There is no
fee to join, no fee to add items, no fee to change items, no fee to
remove items and absolutely no selling fees.
Who
is paying for this service?
The Kingsood
Classifieds system was developed and is maintained through the
support of our site sponsors. Without them, the community would not
have access to this wonderful new system. Please support them by
using thier services whereever possible. They can be found under the
Service Providers Tab on the menu bar and on the sponsorship banners
throughout the site.
I
have received my new password, How do I log in?
You can access
your account and manage your items by clicking the "Manage my
account" button on the right of the main Hammonds Plains
Classifieds (Buy & Sell) Page.
How
do I add an Item for Sale?
To add an
item, you can click the "Click Here to add an item" button
on the right of the main Hammonds Plains Classifieds Page (If you are
not already logged in, the site will prompt you to log in first). You
can also add an item under your account management page by selecting
the "manage my items" button and then clicking the
underlined "Add an Item" link.
After
adding an item can I change the information?
Yes. As an
account holder, you are free to change or delete the items that you
currently have for sale. To do this, under your account manager page,
click the underlined "edit my existing items".
Is
there a limit to how many items I can sell at a time?
No, the number
of items that you may add for sale is not limited. Please feel free
to offer as many items as you like.
Are
there items that are not allowed to be placed for sale?
Yes, there are
listing limitations in place.
LIMITATIONS:
"The Hammonds Plains Classifeds pages are intended for
PRIVATE OWNERS ONLY and it does not apply to businesses and/or
individuals offering a product or service to obtain a profit, i.e.:
pets, retail outlets, home based business products, services rendered
(snow removal, domestic help, etc), 30 words per ad or less. Hammonds
Plains.ca reserves the right to edit, re-classify or delete any
submissions. Hammonds Plains.ca shall not be held liable for any
errors in composition and reproduction and is in no way responsible
for the content of Buy and Sell items for sale."
What
happens if I list an item that violates the listing limitations?
Residents that
do not respect the listing limitations outlined above must remove the
item for sale immediately and depending on the circumstance, may be
subject to having all of their item for sale removed and an immediate
suspension of their priviledge of having a personal access account to
the Hammonds Plains.ca website.
Do
I need authorization before adding my items for sale?
No, by joining
the system, you are free to add, edit and delete items at any time
day or night 24/7/365 as long as they do not violate the listing
limitations. If you have an item that you are unsure of it meeting
the limitations, please feel free to ask us whether it can be added
to the system by sending us an e-mail at support@Hammondsplains.ca
