The Kingswood
Book Club celebrated its one year anniversary this Fall. The members
have met every month and have read a number of very interesting
books.
With a
membership of 9, the club has filled up quickly; however, a number
of residents have expressed interest in joining. Therefore, we
are considering starting a second club for Kingswood. If you are
interested in joining the Kingswood Book Club, please email Sherry
at sherry@hammondsplains.ca.
If you live in another community and would like help starting
your own book club or would like to host your own community book
club page, again contact Sherry.
This month's
reading selection is "Tuesdays
with Morrie" by Mitch Albom. We chose this book as we
thought it would be inspirational and uplifting at this special
time of year.
The next
book club meeting is on Thursday December 16th.
Below is a photo
taken approximately a year ago when we welcomed 3 new members
and said goodbye to one of our founding members, Carole Marsh.
Carole has moved back to England and hopes to join us on book
club evenings via email or web cam.
